Vera was unique in her way. When I had the opportunity to work with her, I enjoyed every minute. It was one of her greatest gifts to present complicated things so vividly, simply, and understandably for everyone.
This also led, among other things, to her ingenious energy model.

Energy Balance

Every person has a certain quota of energy available.
A Automatic processes breathing, digestion, perception processing, ...

B Am I okay? Social being in a social group, being integrated, self-worth

C Chronos (time) - most of us never have enough of it, and Kairos (the here and now), seizing the opportunity, the opportune moment for a decision, whose unused passing can be detrimental.

D Execution of daily life tasks, routines brushing teeth, working, driving ...

E Development Entfoldment Discovery

If one area takes up too much space, other areas are reduced; in extreme cases, only the existentially necessary minimum remains. An example:

In case of illness or perception problems, area A requires more energy. If you are lying in bed with a 40° fever, you don't care about anything else.

In some illnesses and especially perception problems, area B also draws energy. Am I okay? Through negative comments or by comparing themselves with other children, they observe that they are "different" from other children.

A person who has to spend their energy on things that run automatically for others hardly has any energy left for development.

Vera would have said now: "Does that sound understandable to you?"
