A magnifying pot in the Academy for Learning Methods stands for sparking curiosity. I also like to refer to it as the "keyhole effect" - the allure of observing something forbidden by peeking stealthily through a keyhole.
A magnifying pot is, of course, indispensable in science lessons, but there are primary schools that don't have them, and they are rarely found lying around at home. I developed the idea of creating very tiny mind maps during a visit to an educational bookstore in Berlin. The owner showed me the magnifying pot and challenged me to develop something with it that had never existed before.
