Over many years, AOK Nord-Ost collaborated with the Akademie für Lernmethoden on a mind map project with their apprentices. It began with an on-site visualization techniques seminar at the health insurance company's premises. This led to the idea of a very interesting project: a joint mind map calendar. From then on, 12 mind maps were needed for the annual AOK mind map calendar. The supervisor and apprentices selected half of the mind maps from the Academy's portfolio (typically learning and health topics), while the other half were created by the health insurance company's apprentices and then revised by us. A Scandinavian restaurant desired a menu in mind map form. This was very unusual for guests and certainly attracted their attention, especially since the descriptions were also in Swedish. But with this, the restaurant had a unique selling point. Every guest was allowed to take this original menu home to be prepared for the next visit, but above all, to tell new guests about the restaurant, which happened very frequently.
