Speedolino Learning Rally - The History
It was Sebastian Leitner who invented the well-known card index box for better learning. What far fewer people know is that it was his idea to invent a modified learning method for vocabulary acquisition. He called it the Patience System. This was based on the regular repetition of vocabulary, but not in the conventional sense:
Difficult vocabulary was repeated more often than easy vocabulary. The order also constantly changed.
